Headlines are shown in the language they were published in.
How we counted
Scope: news outlets based in Kazakhstan (sites on the .kz domain, or tagged with a Kazakhstan city or region) in six categories: online media, news agencies, newspapers, TV, radio and magazines. Government, corporate and industry websites, and social networks, are not included. 2,029 outlets are in scope; 708 published in this period.
Counting: every article Scano collected from those sites, dated by its publication time in Almaty (UTC+5). A story republished by ten outlets counts ten times.
Language is detected automatically for each article. A publication belongs to a story when its headline matches the story's search terms in Kazakh, Russian or English.
Month-on-month changes also reflect changes in collection, such as outlets added or temporarily unavailable, so read small differences with care.
Period: September 1, 2026 – September 30, 2026, Almaty time.
